no joe, it's actually been the defensive tackle dropping back in coverage on the zone blitz who got his hands on the ball. great defensive playcall by the coordinator. great job by the blitzing linebacker, too.

The QB takes the snap, here comes the blitz. He rolls out to the right, throws down the sideline and it is caught by the receiver for a First Down and more.
He's out of bounds at the Kobras 13 for a gain of 12 yds. And the Malfs are in the Kobras Red Zone for the first time.

First-and-ten...
Here's the snap, delayed handoff to the running back but there's nowhere to go. He wrestles himself out of a tackle in a backfield, heads to the outside but there's a bunch of defenders. HE LOSES THE BALL! And the defense should... NO, THE BALL IS STILL LOOSE AND ROLLS OUT OF BOUNDS!
Two defenders were about to recover it but instead they collided and the ball rolled out of bounds.
The offense loses a yard but not the ball and they surely breath a sigh of relieve.

No, there is the signal. It's Fourth Down and I'm sure the Malfs will go for it. They are down by 24, and a field goal wouldn't really help them.

We're back with five minutes left to play in the third quarter. The Malfs have just cut their deficit to 16 points and are about to kickoff.

And here comes the kickoff, it's nice and long... And the return man won't field it, he hopes for it to take a bounce into the endzone but it won't. Now he takes it at the 2, but he's running out of space. He tries to break a tackle, but he's forced out of bounds at the 12-yd line for a return of only 10 yds.
He sure made a mistake by not fielding the kickoff in the first place. Very bad field position for the Kobras and the Malfs seem to keep their momentum alive.

So, the Kobras will start their next possession rather deep inside their own territory when we come back.

The QB takes the snap, here comes pressure, almost sacked. He tries to get out of trouble, now throws a screen to the running back, but he has no room. He avoids one tackle but can't help to be brought down in the backfield by another one.
Wow, what an aggressive defense. They were all over the Kobras who are pushed back inside their own 10.
