John Parker Wilson gefällt mir von allen QBs die noch da sind noch am besten.

Shonn Green ist ein guter "Pick", der passt auch gut zu dem gewünschten "RB-Profil". Bei den QBs gebe ich "Plummer" recht. Wilson wäre mir neben McGee zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt am liebsten (in der NFL-Talk Mock-Situation).

jedenfalls is green ein wahnsinn. der muss der liebling eines jeden rb-coaches sein. wenn barlow der tänzler war, dann is der das genaue gegenteil. der hat eine übersicht und is nullkommanix durch die lücle durch. zwar isser net der schnellste, aber so wie bei gores breakout season hätten die meisten anderen backs nichtmal die chance auf diese big plays, weil sie nicht so schnell durch die löcher wären. echt ein wahnsinn. ehrlich, ich hoffe man draftet den wirklich.

@plummer50: du siehst tupou nicht als rt? als was dann? rg? er hat auf dem college sogar lt gespielt (wegen ihm wurde unger anscheinend auf c gestellt)... ins scheme von singletary könnte er passen, scheint der einzig übriggebliebene tackle zu sein, der ein dominanter run blocker ist. cadogan mag ich net, der macht zwar gospel und keinen rap wie brandon lloyd, aber trotzdem...

naja, mal schaun, dauert ja eine weile bis wir wieder dran sind.

In vielen Scouting Reports steht, dass er nur sich nur als Guard in der NFL durchsetzen wird, z.B:

He played left tackle in college but must move to guard to have any shot at the NFL. He has good size, strength and a wide body. He is tough, physical and anchors well enough to be a good pass protector. But he is not a good athlete, lacks speed and quickness and shows poor footwork.

Boylhart und Robert Davis (www.footballsfuture.com) trauen Tupou beispielsweise aber durchaus zu, dass er RT spielt. Cadogan scheint jemand zu sein, aus dem man noch den letzten Funken rauskitzeln muss. Da ist Sing doch prädestiniert . Gute Anlagen hat er (sehr lange Arme, run blocking) und am Charakter liegt es nicht. Er schläft halt noch etwas . Achtet mal auf CB/FS Sherrod Martin, der könnte sich im schlechtesten Fall als sehr guter FS erweisen. Scott Wright und Boylhart halten viel von ihm, er erinnert mich ein wenig an Jairus Byrd, könnte aber wohl sogar noch eher CB spielen und hat das gleiche Potenzial als FS. Wes Bunting von "nationalfootballpost" sieht ihn sogar als #1 bei den FS:

Martin, the versatile defensive back from Troy, is being considered at both the free safety and cornerback spots. He's one of the smoothest DBs in this year's class and has the ability to make it at either position. However, his ball skills and impressive range in the center field-type role scream ball-hawking safety.

also cadogan nur über meine leiche. ;-) aber vermutlich isser eh vorher weg.

btw: solche aussagen wie, dass er auf guard wechseln muss, weil er sonst null chancen in der nfl hat, sind kein scouting sondern wahrsagen. für mich steht in einem echten scouting report drinnen, was die speziellen sitautionen waren, in denen er zu schlecht für die nfl tackle gespielt hat, und vor allem in einer manier, dass das auch nimmer coachable ist. einfach hinzuklatschen, dass sein footwork zu schlecht is, is lächerlich. 90% aller tackles in der draft haben ein verbesserungswürdiges footwork (so wie die quarterbacks auch). natürlich kann es sein, dass er als tackle keine zukunft hat, aber das argument aus diesem scouting report ist etwas flach.

Auch Boylhart sieht das nicht so:

Er sagt, dass er mit viel Hilfe von TEs den Job machen könnte. Das ist nicht gerade das, was ich mir von einem RT vorstelle.

In my opinion, his impact position should be as a LG.  He does a very good job in pass protection in a limited space and is a devastating run blocker.  There is no doubt in my mind that this kid has Pro Bowl Left Guard written all over him.

In Runde 4 wäre er durchaus ein guter Pick. Aber er wird in der NFL nicht als Tackle spielen. Darin sind sich die Scouting Reports einig.

des is doch schon viel präziser. er glaubt also, dass er zu langsam für die speed rushers is. wenn das der fall is, dann kann man schon sagen, dass das vermutlich net coachable is.

So habe ich die Aussagen über die Footwork auch verstanden. Er hat nicht die Fähigkeiten um als Tackle zu spielen. Mittlerweile sehe ich nämlich auch keine so großen Unterscheide mehr zwischen einem RT und LT. Beide spielen gegen Speed Rushers in der heutigen NFL. Vor ein paar Jahren war das noch nicht so. Aber die Liga verändert sich. Und Fenuki scheint ein guter Guard Prospect zu sein. Aber er wird nicht als Tackle spielen, da seine Schwächen auch mit Coaching und Fleiß nicht zu beseitigen sind. Das heißt aber jetzt nicht, dass ich gegen die Draft eines Guards bin. Gute OLiner kann man nie genug haben. 

Aber mal ernsthaft gefragt. Was haltet ihr von Sebastian Vollmer:

Houston Pro day: Many of the scouts left the Cougars' pro day on Friday impressed with Vollmer's size and speed and Hunt's athleticism. Vollmer, who grew up in Germany and redshirted as a freshman with the Cougars, is the most intriguing prospects. He was a shade taller than 6-7 and weighed 312. One scout timed him in 5.08 in the 40-yard dash. He also had a 37 1/2-inch vertical jump. "He'll get drafted just based on his size and speed," said C.O. Brocato, who is Tennessee's national supervisor of college scouting. "I told him that he could gain 30 pounds in the weight room and still not be overweight. He's an awesome specimen, and he runs well for his size. "He's got a good attitude, and he works hard. He's come a long way since he got here. He'll have to play on the right side. Hm, fände ich für Runde 4 eher zu früh. Vernichtende Kritik auf Sportingnews, NFL Draftcountdown führt ihn nicht einmal, ESPN hat ihn dafür als #9 OT in der Draft.

sehr interessanter spieler. könnte mir aber vorstellen, das er bis zu uns schon weg sein wird. gerade auf einem deutschen board wird er dann im zweifelsfall mal eher bevorzugt. wobei er mir als spieler wirklich ganz gut gefällt, unabhängig von der staatsangehörigkeit. denke aber das man vollmer in der realen draft auch noch in einer späteren runde bekommen könnte.

naja... einen practice squad tackle brauchma net unbedingt... da hab ich lieber einen pro bowl guard. ;-)

Die 49ers scheinen an QB Mike Reilly interesse zu haben. Er wird die 49ers vor der Draft besuchen:

Auch das andere, ws ich da lese, begeistert mich wenig, zumindest nicht für die vierte Runde. Sollte er in der siebten Runde noch da sein, gerne, aber vorher? Ich bin nach wie vor für einen OT, muss mich aber erst mal schlau machen, wer denn noch verfügbar ist. Und DB wäre auch keine schlechte Position, die in der vierten Runde adressiert weren kann, wenn ein passender Spieler noch da sein sollte.
