And that's the ball game!

What an epic game by two formidable teams at the grandest stage of Football Fever we have witnessed. Five lead changes! I mean, when have we seen five lead changes in a QFL game? Just wow! Just wow! Great defensive displays by both teams as we had expected. Still, both teams racked up over 600 yds combined and totalled ten scores. Only five red-zone trips combined, though, for only one TD early in the game, the other two TDs coming from big plays... Three turnovers a piece, seven penalties a piece... A highly entertaining game. And we, as fans of the game, owe a huge thank you to both teams.

Great refereeing also, by the way. the_hawk more than justified his nomination. Thank you for that, the_hawk. And you must also be a true expert. Before the game, I predicted the Flash 80s by seven, you went with the Basterds by exactly 8, how about that! I tip my hat, my man!

And as we are nearing the trophy presentation, you really have to feel for the Flash 80s. A 7-1 season is surely a terrific, terrific achievement especially with those comeback wins they had. But when the only loss comes in the final game of the season, it's just heartbreak. (I'm sure, Tom Brady would trade two, maybe three of his rings if he could have that perfect season back.) Sure hope Kai and his dice will put their disappointment aside quickly and be proud of what they achieved. Because they have every reason to be proud. And then go again come Season V.

But here come the winners. The new QFL World Champions! The Jetto Basterds with their coach, jetto!
