Second-and-ten - the Malfs showing blitz again.
The QB takes the snap, drops back, good protection, throws over the middle... And it's caught in stride by a receiver. He has the First Down. Has a blocker down the sideline. In midfield. Tries to break a tackle but then goes out of bounds at the Malfs 40-yd line for a gain of 33 yds.
And with the longest pass play of the day the Kobras have gotten themselves in a great position to not only see out the Malfs but even add to their lead.

A really bad handoff but what in the world happened to the offensive line? A loss of 9 yds of this botched draw play and the Malfs have a pretty good chance to get the ball back. Third-and-very-long coming up...

Here's the snap, the QB drops back, throws over the middle, has a receiver but he is tackled immediately by two defenders. 11-yd gain on the play but it's 4th-and-8 coming up at the 38. Probably a little too long to go for a field goal, but the Kobras might pin the Malfs near their own goal line on a punt while the clock ticks down to under nine minutes.

The runner tries to escape to the outside, the right tackle takes out the outside linebacker but they collide with the ball carrier. He can stay on his feet but now there are defenders all around him and he chooses to go out of bounds and loses 4 yds on this play.

So, it's second-and-14 with eight minutes on the clock. Again, only one man in the backfield. The Kobras show blitz.

Here's the snap, another delayed handoff to the running back and this time he has an opening... Great block by the tight end, that's the First Down. He's still on his feet, great spin move, cuts to the right... Oh, another good block! He can run down the sideline, is in midfield... One more defender, AND HE MISSES THE TACKLE. HE'S GONE! AT THE 30... THE 20... THE 10... HIGH-STEPPING INTO THE ENDZONE! AND THE MALFS HAVE ANOTHER TOUCHDOWN, CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!

The Kobras have had TD runs for 72 and 90 yds earlier today, and now the Malfs score on an 84-yd run. This is unbelievable. They were down by 24 and now their deficit is down to nine with only a little less than eight minutes remaining.

The Malfs, of course, will need another TD and a two-point conversion and... many coaches would opt to go for the extra point now to make sure this is a one-possession game but knowing the Malfs' head coach's philosophy, I'm almost certain he will go for two right now.

erst muss mal die 2pc klappen.  ohne die ... wird es SEHR schwierig.  aber es war eigentlich schon zu beginn des viertels klar dass ich nicht mehr hoch gewinnen werde. ;-)

Wow - a holding call against the defense. The gap the tailback hit through was so big that I would have expected a call against the offense, but anyway.
We have a ball game here, folks. The Malfs were down by 24 early in the third, now it's a one-possession game. With 7:48 remaing, this is far from over.
