And the Malfs are indeed going for it. They are 1-for-2 on Fourth Downs today but they need 14 yds now. The Kobras defense might put the lid on it now.

Empty backfield, five defensive backs on the field.
Here's the snap, five-step drop, has time, throws deep over the middle... AND IT IS CAUGHT BY THE SLOT RECEIVER! And he gets some more after the catch he brings the Malfs all the way down to the 15, how about that?!
The QB hit the receiver in stride at about the 25 and the Kobras defense get him down at the 15. The Malfs keep the drive alive and are in the red zone. A 31-yd pass play right when they needed it.

Second-and-eight - I-Formation.
The QB takes the snap, fakes the handoff, throws to the outside... DIVING CATCH BY THE TIGHT END. And he has a First Down at the 3-yd line. A 10-yd gain on the play and had the quarterback thrown with a little more accuracy, the tight end would have scored on his out pattern.
But it's First-and-Goal, and the Malfs have four plays to cover the remaining three yards.

Of course, the Malfs need two more touchdowns and they need two two-point conversions. Let's see if they're going for two right now. It might be wise to wait, because even with an extra point, they can make this a two-possession game, but if they failed on the two-point conversion, this would remain a three-possession game.

das sehe ich genau andersrum.  um es direkt zum ausgleich zu schaffen benoetige ich einen xp und zwei 2pc.  ich darf keine einzige 2pc in den sand setzen, sonst brauch ich auf jeden fall ein fg extra.  wenn ich jetzt den xp kicke, dann ist klar, dass ich nachher die 2pc spielen MUSS.  da kann ich sie auch gleich spielen (ich kann eh nicht aus), und habe dafuer frueher die gewissheit, ob ich noch ein fg extra brauchen werde oder nicht -- und kann mir das spiel entsprechend einteilen (so gut das zu diesem zeitpunkt ueberhaupt noch geht).

in diesem sinn: offense bleibt auf dem feld...

And the Malfs are going for two. If they make it, it's gonna be a two-possession game with a little more than 11 1/2 minutes left to play.
Here's the snap, handoff... AND THE RUNNING BACK POWERS HIMSELF THROUGH THE MIDDLE INTO THE ENDZONE... where he loses the ball but that doesn't matter. Also great lead-blocking by the fullback. The Malfs have the two points and may hold out hopes for a comeback.

...starts to run up north behind his blockers... And a great tackle by a Malfs special teamer stops the return man at his own 27-yd line. Oh my, that was a crucial one. The return man might have taken that one to midfield or even further.

So, it's a 16-yd return and the Kobras, leading by 15, will start at their own 27 when we come back.
