Hier ein Artikel der sehr interessant ist. Ich weiss es ist lang, hab aber nun schon des öfteren gehört das special interest & tree huggers es nicht zulassen das tote Bäume abgeholzt werden. Und ja, so einen Artikel werdet Ihr wahnscheinlich niemals in einer deutschen Magazin/Zeitung lesen - denn Trump kann recht haben. Und das wird es bei Euch in den Schlagzeilen niemals geben...

This is going to be a long but it needs to be said. I live near these fires. I am beyond angry. But guess what? Not at Trump. These fires are real to me. We see flames from our house almost every year. We very nearly lost our home to the Cottonwood Fire in 1994. That was a big, intense fire at the time, burning 48,000 acres over two weeks. Miraculously no homes were lost. Twenty-five years later, it wouldn't even make the news now. Now these fires are burning twice that much land in a matter of days, not weeks. People who live near these fires agree with Trump and have been saying the same thing for decades!

For years I have listened to our former president and governor blame these fires on drought and climate change. Well guess what, we have just come out of the two wettest years on record and these fires are worse than ever. Whether climate change is a factor or not, reducing emissions and making California energy independent is not going to do a a g thing to save our forests today. (And how do you like that air quality now?!) Why the left blames the right, our forests are going up in smoke and NOTHING is done to actually help the situation.

And don't blame the Forest Service either. They KNOW what needs to be done. They WANT to do it. But forest manager have essentially been neutered by environmental groups, crippling their ability to do what needs to be done by costly and time consuming lawsuits. I worked for eight years for the US Forest Service. I saw it with my own eyes. Managers spent so much time doing environmental analyses to comply with and try to avoid lawsuits, that they barely have any time to actually manage the resources. When I left, it was taking seven YEARS to get a timber sale contract through.

These environmental groups would rather see our forests go up in smoke than to see them logged or grazed. They have literally said this. And heaven forbid the management be done by private industry that actually generates money for our government rather than be done by the government itself at the expense of OUR tax dollars.

So Trump is right. These catastrophic fires ARE the result of gross mismanagement. His only mistake is not placing the blame exactly where it belongs: on the environmentalists.

OMG - wie bekloppt fühl ich mich denn.....

Hab ein bisserl über meinem surgeon/Arzt rum-gegoogled und hab dieses hier gefunden:

He was absolutely awful to deal with. He was rude and would not listen to concerns. He was not at all patient focused, rather only interested in what made him look better. His staff took their cues from him and are equally as unpleasant to deal with. I have had numerous prior surgical experiences with other physicians in the UW system and always been pleased. He should not be associated with such a high quality institution as he gives their facility a bad name. I would never recommend him.

As long as you do not need any post surgical care you are probably fine. If something does not go well they just give you sympathy and tell you to see your PCP. I pray his surgical skills are good but right now it doesn't feel that way.

Ja, das glaube ich gern. Bei uns werden Straßen für Dieselfahrzeuge gesperrt wegen Grenzwerten, die nix mit der Realität zu tun haben. Gut gemeint ist nicht immer gut gemacht.

Nach ein paar harten e-mails & Telefonaten mit dem CEO und patient care werden wir in 2 Tagen ein meeting im hospital mit dem Surgeon haben. Wir wollen die Röntgen Aufnahmen sehen und darüber reden und wie es dazu gekommen ist das mein linkes Bein länger ist als mein rechtes Bein und was sie da tun können.

Ein Telefonat mit einem Anwalt gab uns heute Informationen das Surgeons von dem Hospital gesetztlich nur bis $250.000 Dollars strafbar gemacht werden können und wenn Du dann selbser für  $300 Dollar die Stunde einen Anwalt anheuerst dann bleibt (meistens) and Ende nicht viel für Dich übrig.

118.670 Rehe (bucks & doe) wurden am ersten Wochenende im Staat erlegt.
13 %  mehr wie im Vorjahr.

Da gibt es wohl in ganz Wisconsin Rehbraten am Wochenende

Die Zahl ist schon Wahnsinn. Wenn es ausgeglichen bleibt ist es ja gut aber wenn nicht.... Leute regen sich auf das in Afrika Löwen, Nashörner und andere Tiere geschossen werden aber hier interessiert es keinen, irgendwie schon traurig.

Ich denke hier ist es Regulation der Population, weil die natürlichen Feinde fehlen. In Afrika ist es geldgeile Dezimierung von bedrohten Arten.

bin mir nicht ganz sicher...aber irgenwann mal...hab ich irgendetwas darüber gelesen

Gibt es bei euch auch Abschußpläne wie bei uns? Die den Jägern sagt so viel Rehe, so viele Wildschwein usw.

Oh Ja das bin ich mir ganz sicher. Kenn mich nur damit nicht aus. Aber was ich gehört habe das es tatsächlich Tage gibt wo Du NUR mit Bow & arrow also Flitzebogen jagen kannst.  Andere Tage natürlich mit Knarre.
