Was habt ihr gegen Mays?
Die Meinung von Boylhart zu ihm:

Zitat
Taylor is a track star trying to convince people that he is a impact football player.  He does not wrap up when he tackles, he lacks instincts and football intelligence,  he has straight line speed but very slow lateral agility and his make up speed lacks effort.  He needs the play in front of him at all times and that is why he is playing deep in a single safety system. Taylor does not take good angles and does not cover well at all.  If you put Taylor up near the line of scrimmage he will fall for play action every time.  I do not see him with a lot of interceptions because he does not have good hands and is always out of position to intercept the ball.

Kindle). Boylhart mag unsere Draft gemäß seiner verteilten Talent-Noten wohl generell überhaupt nicht so ;).  Mayock hat ihn dagegen wieder recht hoch, hinter Berry/Thomas an 3 vor Nate Allen. Scott Wright meint zusammenfassend:

ZitatWas a four-year starter for the Trojans --- A consensus 1st Team All-American in 2008 --- 3rd Team All-American in 2007 and 2nd Team in 2009 --- Named 1st Team All-Pac-10 as a junior and senior --- Father, Stafford Mays, was a defensive lineman who played in the NFL with the St. Louis Cardinals and Minnesota Vikings --- Had arthroscopic surgery on his ankle prior to spring practice in 2008 --- Missed some time with a sprained knee in 2009 --- The next in a long line of great USC safeties, following in the footsteps of guys like Ronnie Lott, Mark Carrier & Troy Polamalu --- Could potentially project to outside linebacker in certain schemes --- Would have been the first safety selected and a Top 10-15 overall pick had he entered the 2009 NFL Draft --- Extra year in school opened his game up to additional scrutiny, leading to some fair as well as unfair criticism --- Relative lack of big plays in college can be at least partially attributed to the system he played in --- More of an intimidator than a playmaker in the secondary --- Has the talent to be a dynamic all-around player at the next level --- Epitomizes the phrase "Runs Like a Cornerback, Hits Like a Linebacker" --- Workout Warrior and amazing physical specimen with a truly rare blend of size, speed and athleticism.

"Draftace" meint trotz "Erstrunden-Grade":

ZitatMays is a very talented safety but despite having all the tools he isn't the complete package. He is far better against the run than in pass coverage, and those types of players are becoming less valuable in the pass-first league that the NFL has become. His closest NFL comparison is the Bengals' Roy Williams. Like Williams he can hit like a truck, but struggles in coverage and rarely makes a play on the football in the air. Mays will wow scouts at the combine, which will likely cause a team to select him in the top 10-20 picks, but I personally feel as though that is a reach for a rather one-dimensional safety.

Mal schauen was man bekommen hat.
