After failing to get anything going on this drive, the Moles have to kick it away on fourth down. Not the longest punt in history, but he surely got some good hang time. The Seagulls returner makes a suboptimal decision: Instead of opting for the fair catch he tries to take it back - to no avail. He really should have waved his arm, but instead he wavered and lost eight.

After the abysmal return the high powered Seagulls offense enters the field again. They remember well, what was their key to success, as they continue to throw it on first. But they are not the only ones with a good memory. The Moles defense has paid good attention and denies them what almost looked like a first down - just three yards gain on the pass for the birds.

Wobei die Lustigkeit eher einseitig sein dürfte. ZUmindest, bis man gelesen hat, was du so geschrieben hast.

Most teams would do it the other way round, but of course you can open the run game via the passing game as well. In fact the Moles defense looked like they were set up for the run, but the Seagulls absolutely fooled them with a delayed handoff. The back gets a full 18 yards, before they catch him from behind and he is pushed out of bounds a good five yards after crossing midfield.

Nicht nur die - wehrt's euch endlich

Mir scheint, dass ganz knappe Spiele seltener werden. Da geht ja derzeit nicht viel für mich. 

Ich muss dann leider wieder weg - aber lasst Euch nicht aufhalten beim Calls schicken (zumindest Real, MoRes Call hab' ich ja schon), mit etwas Glück schaff' ich es später noch einmal rein.

Well it seems the change of pace is doing the Seagulls lots of good. The right guard sets a tremendous block as they run it up the middle straight through the heart of the Moles defense. The Moles safety prevents the worst and brings the running back down, but not before he got a new set of downs.

This time it worked out better for the Moles. Although they were sending additional pass rushers after the quarter back, the D-Line made a nice stand. They did not allow the offense to open any holes and the Seagulls running back is brought to the ground right at the line of scrimmage, second down coming up.

Naja, am ersten Spieltag waren alle Spiele zu Beginn des vierten Quarters noch offen (zumindest vom Score her) - da überrascht es nicht wirklich, wenn die engen Spiele irgendwann "seltener" werden...
