The Flash 80s and the Prussian Warriors had a combined record of 6-6 for The Nordics while the Dicey Beasts and silentsound's Silentknights went 4-8 combined for The Alpines.

The Warriors' offense ranked #5 overall and the Flash 80s' defense finished #4 overall. The Beasts' offense ranked #3 overall while the Silentknighs' defense finished #6 overall. So, The Nordics and The Alpines both have a combined ranking of 9.

Coming from the stronger conference, The Nordics may have been considered slight favorites going into the game, however, they find themselves trailing by 7 in the middle of the first quarter.
