HONOLULU (AP) -- The Hawaii Tourism Authority board Thursday rejected the NFL's proposal to return the Pro Bowl to the islands in 2011 and '12.

The 10-member board, however, approved a motion to renegotiate with the NFL, if the league is willing. The board voted 6-4 against the proposal. It cited several concerns, primarily the NFL's decision to move its annual all-star game to a week before the Super Bowl and whether the $4 million to host each game could be better used for other purposes.

HONOLULU (AP) -- The Pro Bowl is returning to Hawaii.

The Hawaii Tourism Authority board voted 9-1 on Friday to accept the NFL's offer to return to the islands.

The 10-member board rejected two previous proposals, but under mounting pressure, reconsidered its latest refusal to have the all-star game played at Aloha Stadium in 2011 and 2012 for $4 million a year.

Lt. Gov. James "Duke" Aiona testified in favor of returning the Pro Bowl, saying "Hawaii is the Pro Bowl."

The same proposal was rejected a week ago by the board. The NFL then turned down the state's offer to renegotiate another deal

Dem schließe ich mich an. Möchte nur für Dich hoffen, daß der Pro Bowl dann wieder nach dem Superbowl gespielt wird, damit auch alle Spieler daran teilnehmen können.
