If the 49ers end up hoisting the Lombardi in February, Sunday will be remembered as the day they proved their championship mettle. The Niners outlasted the Saints in an epic 48-46 shootout at the Superdome. It was -- yeah, I'll say it -- The Game Of The Year. Heroes were plentiful, but let's start with Jimmy Garoppolo, who never blinked in a treacherous road setting. He finished with four touchdown passes and coolly marched his team down the field in the final minute to set up Robbie Gould's 30-yard game-winner. The big play of that final drive was the 39-yard reception by George Kittle, who ransacked his way down the sideline as helpless New Orleans defenders attempted to drag him to the turf. Kittle is a star, and he's been ideally complemented by Emmanuel Sanders, who went off for 7/157/1 plus a perfect 35-yard touchdown pass. John Lynch made The NFC's Trade Of The Year when he acquired Sanders in October.

If the 49ers end up hoisting the Lombardi Trophy in five weeks, remember the tackle rookie linebacker Dre Greenlaw made in the regular-season finale against the Seahawks. Greenlaw de-cleated Seahawks tight end Jacob Hollister at the goal line, denying Seattle the go-ahead score in the final seconds and ensuring the 49ers would enter January as the NFC West champions with home-field advantage throughout the conference playoffs. The Niners are a better team than the Seahawks, and they showed it for most of Sunday night's epic season-closing showdown. But had Russell Wilson worked his magic and stolen the game? Who knows if the Niners recover? If they did, it would've been on the road this weekend in Philadelphia. Instead, it's a bye week, a home game (or two) and the inside track on a Super Bowl return. Yup, remember that name. Dre Greenlaw.

Die bei NFL.com sind schon komisch, ein Wild Card Team steht vor dem Numer 1 Seed in der NFC

Naja, immerhin sind erst einmal die richtigen Teams unter den ersten 12 

Die Saints knapp vor den 49ers ranken, ist für mich ok.
Ehrlich gesagt sehe ich uns sogar erst an 4, da die Patriots halt die Patriots sind.

Mir ist egal, wer vor oder hinter uns steht.
Ich will noch 3 Siege die Saison sehen, und aus die Maus. 

Playoff QB Ranking... Jimmy auf Platz 10 von 12.. Aha!
